Barbara LeForge
Barbara LeForge is a storyteller, a community leader, and a devoted educator whose life is rooted in the values of connection and service. As a veteran’s wife and mother of four, she finds her greatest purpose in the daily rhythms of family life, having transitioned from a career as a special education teacher to the rewarding challenge of homeschooling her own children.
With her seminal first release, By Still Waters, she has captivated readers around the world with compelling stories and thought-provoking insights.
Though she now calls the warmth of South Carolina home, a piece of her heart will always remain in the historic, misty landscapes of Steilacoom, Washington. This connection to place and heritage deeply influences her perspective as the editor of the Golden Strip News, where she works to foster a sense of belonging and community across Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Fountain Inn.
When she isn't in the classroom or at her editor’s desk, Barbara is most likely found in her garden, tending to the quiet growth of the earth, or dreaming up her family's next travel adventure. Above all, she is committed to a lifelong journey of growing her relationship with God, seeking to reflect His light through her writing, her service, and her home
